Carla and Julia are going to help us choose your ideal pet! Let’s start! Hi guys, our facebook friends Carla and Julia have come to helps us choose which is the best pet for our home. What I mean, the best pet that suits our particular situation. Of all the choices we have, with a few questions, we will show you and guide you which is the best choice of pets for the house. And the first question is, how much time do you have to dedicate to your pet? Depends if you have a lot of time or not. Dogs, in first place, do you think dogs need a lot of time of just a little? Carla: A lot! Antonio: So, if we have a lot of time and we can give them much space, it also depends on the dog we want, but especially time and dedication, a faithful companion is always a dog. But for the dog, we need a lot of free time. If we don’t have that much time we should choose a different pet. And going on to the next question! Come on, of all the animals we have here, what kind of animal gives us “problems” with the hair loss, therefore it means we have to pick up all the fur? Which one? Julia: The cat! Carla: El conejo. Antonio: Where is the rabbit? More, which one has a big amount of hair? Julia: The ferret maybe. Antonio: Yes the ferret too, it’s true that twice a year they loose a bit of hair. Not much, but they can also give a bit of “problems” with the hair. And, will we put include another one? Carla and Julia: No. The third question is if animals with many paws gives us the creeps. What animal can give us the creeps with it’s paws? Julia: The spider. Antonio: Yes! The spider. It is usually kept in a terrarium and it’s an animals that does not interact much. It’s a good choise as a pet too. Another question: what level of smell are we willing to put up with? What is the animal you think it smells the worst? Julia: The ferret. It’s true that ferrets have a bit of a strong smell, but it’s also true that they are operated so they don’t smell that bad. And cat, what can you say about them? Do they smell good or bad? Carla: Well…it depends. When male cats go into heat their smell is very strong. Therefore it is recommended to sterilize them. In such a way that ferrets and cats smell, although it’s true that they are sterilized so they don’t smell that much. Would you girls, like to buy dead rats to feed your pet? Julia: No! Well…if it is to feed them and to stay
alive I would…but it gives me the creeps. If there is no other option…then ok. Antonio: Well if it gives you the creeps then we should discard the snake, because it eats other dead animals. An the next question wold be: Do you like warm or cold blood animals? With worm blood we have all the mammals and all the birds and with cold blood all the reptiles to amphibians and turtles. If you want a cold blooded animal and you want a certain interaction with it, then you should choose our friend the turttle. Why? Because with the turttle you can more or less interact, as time goes by they will recognize you and they are good pets because they almost have no smell. Depending on the tail of the pet we can choose one pet or another. There are many people that tails without fur gives them the creeps. So these people should discard as pets rats and mice because of their tail without fur. But I have always said that rats are very good pets because they are very inteligent animals. If you want a small rodent, to keep them in a small place and that does not give you much work, hamsters are a good option. It’s algo the best animal for children because it doesn’t involve a lot of work and it does not
have a lont tial, therefore it doesn’t give you the creeps. We will also put them in cages, because that is where they have to live in. You know that if they walk around the house they can get into many places, disapear, they are very moved and elusive. And then we have the rabbits, for me, they are ideal because they are very mee, and…tell us how is you rabbit and why did you decide to have a rabbit. Julia: Well se is very docile, she let’s you take her in your arms and be touched, but you can’t have her for too long in your arms because she gets rough. Antonio: She doesn’t like beeing a long time in arms, but you also have to say that she is still a baby, she is small. Julia: Yes, she is small. Antonio: You will see that as she grows up with you she will handle better being in your arms. She will start getting use to you. And the guinea pig, why did you choose the guinea pig Carla? Carla: Because before I had a hamster and he didn’t let be touch him and the guinea pig does and I can take her in my arms for a long time. Antonio: I like guinea pigs a lot. Guinea pigs are usually more calm then rabbits. They don’t run as much. We have left a side our good friends, the birds. I like very much the birds. And in the birds there is a big world, because there are from canaries that require very little cares, and then parrots, that require many cares. The good thing about parrots is that they don’t loose hair. But they loose feathers. What happens is that feather are easier to pick up, and it does not bother that much. And we still have…Which is that one? Julia: The hedgehog.
Antonio: And what is the matter with the hedghog? Carla: It has spikes. Antonio: And what is the matter with the spikes? Julia: That when it gets angry or it feels threatened, it lets go of the spikes and it pokes you. Antonio: There are hedgehogs that when they are angry and don’t want you to touch them, they poke you. Then if it bother you that it can poke you, than don’t get a hedghog as a pet. And I think that little more is left to say. This is a quick drawing where you can choose the pros and cons in the big world of pets that we can have at home. Bye guys! Bye!
